Assessment of your current inverter and meter arrangement, then a retrofit path that fits: AC-coupled battery with its own inverter, or DC-coupled/hybrid where suitable.
On Feed-in Tariff systems we will not proceed until the metering approach is clear with your FiT licensee.

Indicative pricing factors
Cost depends on usable kWh, AC vs hybrid route, consumer unit capacity and any meter upgrade. We quote after survey rather than publishing a single headline figure.
Our standard inverter replacement price (£900, supplied and fitted) does not include battery hardware.

Quick answers
Can I add a battery if I am on the Feed-in Tariff?
Often yes, if your FiT licensee is satisfied that grid imports used to charge the battery are not counted as generation. Ask them about metering before you buy hardware.
AC or DC coupling — which is better?
AC coupling is often simpler on older string inverters. DC/hybrid can be efficient when the inverter is being replaced anyway. We recommend based on your hardware and goals.
Do you sell batteries without solar?
Our focus is retrofit alongside existing solar. Ask when you enquire and we will say if your case is a fit.
